Reliability of Different Nanofluids and Different Micro-Channel Configurations on the Heat Transfer Augmentation

Nanofluid, the fluid suspensions of a metallic nanoparticle, became coolant that is used when promising enhancement in heat transfer required. In current study, characteristics flow and are numerically investigated using different nanofluids (Al2O3–H2O, TiO2–H2O, SiO2–H2O) micro-channel sink (MCHS) configurations (rectangular, triangular, trapezoidal, circular). this numerical investigation, effect Re number ranged from 890 to 1500, nanoparticle concentration 1% 7% at constant flux q = 106 W/m2, inlet temperature 288 K, were studied. The average coefficient, h, pressure drop, Δp, quantify each MCHS configuration for concentration. It revealed better coefficient obtained Al2O–H2O compared with other types nanoparticles pure water, such as 8.58% improvement 1500 φ=7% more than water. also inferred maximum by triangular MCHS; however, it has highest drop because lowest hydraulic diameter.
